The gardens of the Verbano area

Lake Maggiore has always attracted noble and well-to-do families that, inspired by the lake landscape, chose this area to build some of the most splendid villas and create some of the most beautiful gardens in Italy.

Of particular note are the Botanic Gardens of Villa Taranto, the Villa San Remigio Gardens and the Gardens of the Borromeo Islands.

Thanks to the event called “Verbania giardini aperti” (Verbania Open Gardens”), many of these prestigious private gardens, have been made available over the years to the public of Editoria e Giardini for guided visits, so allowing the discovery of their architectural and botanical complexity.
